Sushmita Sen, a popular Indian actress, posted on Instagram recently that she had a heart attack a few days ago. The 47-year-old actress posted a picture with her father, Subir Sen, and an update on her health on Instagram on Thursday, along with the following caption. "Shona, if you keep your heart full of joy and bravery, it will be there for you when you need it most" (Wise words by my father Subir Sen). Only a few days ago, I had a heart attack.
My angioplasty went well, the stent was successfully implanted, and, most importantly, my cardiologist reaffirmed that "I do have a huge heart." Plenty of individuals to thank for their prompt aid and constructive action...will do so in another post," the actress continued. "This post is merely to keep you (my well wishers and loved ones) updated of the wonderful news... that all is well and I am ready for some life again," she wrote to her supporters. The films Biwi No. 1, Do Knot Disturb, Main Hoon Na, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, and No Trouble made Sushmita Sen a household name. She returned to the acting scene with the International Emmy Award–nominated series Aarya, in which she also appeared in the sequel. The third season of the show, in which the actress will be included, will soon air.

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen raised her daughter Alisah alone after adopting a daughter, Renee, in 2000. Alisah joined the family in 2010. When Renee first started acting, it was in a short film.
